South African DJ and producer Dlala Thukzin returns with EMBER, his ninth solo album, bringing another collection of dance-driven sounds to listeners worldwide.

The eight-track project features collaborations with Kabza De Small, Stunna, Sino Msolo and Funky Qla. Poet Zama Mkhize also contributes a spoken-word introduction.

Before this release, Dlala Thukzin delivered MAYVIS in 2025, following 031 Studio Camp 2.0 and Finally Famous Too in 2024, alongside several successful dance music projects.

The tracklist brings together Afro-tech, Gqom and Amapiano influences across eight songs, with the spoken-word opening introducing the project’s central themes of resilience, growth and creative identity.

EMBER captures Dlala Thukzin’s continued exploration of South African dance music, combining different musical influences and talented collaborators while keeping his distinctive production style at the centre.
